Unfortunately, Honey Dijon will no longer be visiting us on the 18th August (re-arranged date TBA soon!), so instead of over-complicating things we thought we’d hand the reigns to our more-than-capable residents for 5 hours of music dedicated to her roots in Chicago.

Chicago is known as the birthplace of house music, the beginning of jack and home to the groove. In the iconic club The Warehouse, Frankie Knuckles built his name mixing old disco gold and new European beats into a frantic high-energy amalgamation of music that became known as the sound of house music. Ron Hardy, Lil Louis, Larry Heard, Derrick Carter, Paul Johnson, all DJs that built their names alongside the late Knuckles, a history of sounds so rich that they became a universal language for electronic music.

Expect all the classics from Farley “Jackmaster” Funk’s “Love Can’t Turn Around” to Razz’s “Say It”, Liddell Townsell’s “Jack The House” to Joe Smooth’s “Promised Land” and everything in between.
