General Hire

We cater for everything from Weddings and Daytime Conferences, to Networking Events and Summer/Christmas Parties for 50 to 500 guests across a floor or the entire venue.

Our VIP room is ideal for groups of up to 50 and comes equipped with its own bar and sound system.

We also have great optional extras including ping pong, table football and photo booth hire –  get in touch with your requirements and we’ll put together a bespoke package for you.

Conferences

Both Upstairs and Downstairs at Patterns has the ideal set-up for a conference or presentation for up to 100 theatre style. A great option for meeting hire before drinks and canapes or a BBQ on our sunny terrace.

Christmas Parties

Join us this Christmas at the Patterns Ski Chalet!

Start your party with a hot buttered rum or mulled cider, before tucking into a spread of freshly prepared festive delights and partying the night away with us ’til the wee hours.

Upstairs leads directly out onto the fairy-lit terrace area, which will be covered and heated. Included in our hire is our ping pong and fuse ball table – you can even have unlimited prints on our photobooth from £120 per hour. 

Downstairs is kitted out with a large, raised stage and state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment – perfect for bands, DJs and dancing – making it an ideal addition to hire of Upstairs for a well-rounded party.

Both floors are furnished with large bars featuring an eclectic menu of local and international craft beers, wines and warm winter cocktails.

We can offer great bespoke packages to match your allocated budget – get in touch with your requirements.

If you’re a group of up to 50, The Hidden Room to the back of the Upstairs floor is a private room that you can hire for your party. It comes with its very own bar, sound system and seating area.

About Patterns

Patterns is a multi-purpose event space located opposite the iconic Brighton pier on the seafront.

Built on the former site of a 1920’s hotel, the recent refurbishment of Upstairs pays homage to its Art Deco roots with original stained-glass windows and exposed brickwork, complemented by warm cedar paneling and modern dashes of colour. From the Ohm sound system to the diamond-polished shell floor, everything has been carefully thought out and custom-designed to create a unique, spacious venue full of character and light.

On its doorstep is our sea-facing terrace, decorated this summer with a tasteful nod to poolside Miami. It’s the perfect sun-soaked spot from which to observe Brighton’s bustling seafront – accompanied by cold drinks, a sizzling BBQ and live acoustic sets.

Downstairs is a world-class live performance space renowned for its programme of internationally acclaimed bands and DJs and is kitted with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and lighting rig to match.

Both floors are furnished with bars featuring an eclectic menu of local and international craft beers, wines and cocktails. We work alongside Brighton’s favourite Hell’s Kitchen and Secret Service Events to provide a fresh, modern food menu for our private functions – but external catering is often permitted.
