Terrace & Ground Floor Bar: Wheelchair Accessible
Entrance into the ground floor is at street level from Marine Parade through our terrace and is all on one level all the way into the ground floor bar. There are a couple of steps on the terrace to different areas outside but there is also one area to the right of the terrace as you enter that is completely wheelchair accessible – please contact the venue in advance if you would like to book this area for a sunny afternoon!
There is an accessible toilet on this floor.
Basement Level:The basement venue is accessible at street level from Marine Parade and also through the venue. From street level access is via a staircase which has one platform mid way down and a total of 12 steps, there are handrails on either side but it is a wide staircase so will not support a person either side during ingress or egress. At the bottom there is a ramp down into the venue itself and then a further 2 steps to the floor. Please be aware that there is also a change in lighting from the outside street level into the basement. Once inside the floor is all one level to the bars and the front of the stage, to the toilets there are then 3 steps up to the corridor that leads to them with a further 2 steps down. The Gents toilets are then up a staircase that has 3 steps, the ladies are all on one level. Access to the accessible toilet on the ground floor from the basement venue is up a total of 18 stairs. How can I find out what is going on at the venue?
How do I buy tickets for events at Patterns?
You can purchase all tickets through our main ticket outlet DICE, or alternatively through Ticket Tannoy and Resident Advisor– ticket holders get priority entry to club events, please join the outer queue on arrival and have your ID & ticket (s) ready for scanning.
Remember ticket holders are only guaranteed entry before midnight. If you arrive after you may have to wait to enter if the venue is at capacity.
Ticket outlets say the event is sold out, will there be tickets available on the door?
Patterns keep an open door/easy clubbing policy and do not ‘sell out’ the capacity of the venue (with rare exception inc. NYE).
Limited advance tickets entitle guaranteed priority entry for the organised types. There will always be plenty more on the door for early arrivers.
Do you provide a cloakroom?
Yes, we provide a cloakroom in the club, open during live shows and club events. We charge £1 per item for coats & jackets etc. We do not charge for bags so please make use of the cloakroom if you’re not travelling light. Please make a note or take a picture of your ticket number, should you lose your ticket during the night please notify staff immediately. When depositing items please provide us with either your initials or the last four digits of your phone number as added security. CCTV is in operation in the cloakroom and across the venue.

If I have bought a ticket, is there a time that I must arrive before?
Tickets guarantee admission before midnight; please arrive promptly to avoid disappointment & queuing. Entry remains at the discretion of management.
Can I get on a discounted or free guest list?
We do not offer a discounted or free guest list to the public. Guest list spots are reserved for DJ’s guests, press, staff, competition winners, friends and businesses affiliated with the venue.

What are your opening hours?

Do I need to bring proof of age/ID?
Yes always bring a valid proof of your identity regardless of your age.
We can only accept passports, driving licenses or home office approved proof of age cards. That must all be valid, to date, and a photo ID. Photocopies and student ID cards cannot be accepted as a valid form of identification.
We want to ensure all our customers have a safer night out, so we operate the ScanNet biometric entry system. Upon entry we will scan your ID, the system will also record video and still imagery of you during the scan process. This information is stored securely and will only be use in the event of an incident or when requested by the authorities.
Does the venue hold age restrictions?
We operated challenge 25. You must be over 18 to enter Patterns. However, some live shows and daytime events carry different restrictions. Please see the event listings for more details. Everyone wanting to come in must present a valid ID regardless of appearance or age when requested by staff.
Is there a dress code?
We operate a casual dress code so jeans and trainers are allowed.
We do not permit football shirts or sportswear such as flip-flops, tracksuits or joggers.
What is your music policy?
Fridays at Patterns is Foundations, a night focused on the local scene and UK sounds that explore everything from Grime to UK Hip Hop, Bassline to Jungle. Entry is £3/5, bar infrequent one-off events where the price may deviate. Please keep an eye on our website for these one-off events.
Saturdays at Patterns appeal to a wider market of sounds, with disco, house, techno & electronica being the predominant genres. This night is predominantly in-house, with a few exceptions that still stick to our policy.

We are always happy to receive mixes from the public for consideration. These must include a track list & be no longer than 60 minutes.
